Cutterhead Options for Jointers and Planers
09.24.2009
Did you know the Oliver head is better adapted to perform rabbet cuts on your jointer than other cutterheads?
If you notice, the skew angle of the Oliver head is opposite to the angle of the other head. This allows for the last cutter which is responsible for rabbeting to leave a good clean ninety degree vertical edge on the material rather than a non-ninety degree edge.
In addition, Oliver uses top of the line German manufactured carbide inserts.
